Asian Rhinoplasty recovery and cost

Updated: May 20, 2023

1 month post rhinoplasty performed by Dr Rahul Gogoi. For majority asian rhinoplasty Dr Rahul uses Rib cartilage graft diced into small particles and then wraps it in Temporalis fascia to augment the nose bridge. following this he goes on to narrow the nose bone if the nose is very wide. The tip is also refined by increasing the height and making it sharper, narrow and well projected.

Dr Rahul performs Asian rhinoplasty both under General Anaesthesia as well as Local anaesthesia with mild oral sedation based on case selection and patient preference. Under Local Anaesthesia the rhinoplasty is a day care procedure where in the patient is discharged on the same day after the surgery. Under General Anaesthesia patient is admitted overnight post rhinoplasty surgery

LOCAL ANAESTHESIA - INR 60,000 - 65,000 (USD 900 - 1,000)

GENERAL ANAESTHESIA - INR 1,30,000 - 1,50,000 (USD 1,750 - 2,000)

Nose cast and stitches are removed 10 days post surgery. After that night bandaging is advised for a period of one month. Nasal massages are also advised to mould and keep the nose bridge straight. It is also important to use good moisturiser to keep the skin healthy. Oral intake of vitamins and anti-oxidants is beneficial for the healing. Smoking should avoided at all cost as it impairs the healing process negatively impacting the healing of the nose. The nose also remains extremely delicate for about 6-8 weeks and extreme care should be taken to protect it from any kind of injury.
